Blue Fire Stage Company

We are so excited for auditions for Blue Fire's performance of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.! Actors ages 10-15 should sign up for EITHER Tuesday, November 9 OR Wednesday, November 10 from 5:30-7:30PM. Actors should also be available for a callback (if needed) on Thursday, November 11.

COVID REQUIREMENTS: Actors must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (12 years old and up) or indicate an intent to be vaccinated in November (if under 12) in order to audition, rehearse or perform. Proof of vaccination will be required upon arrival at auditions in order to attend for those who have been vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be required once available for those getting vaccinated in November. Masks are required at all times indoors. Actors must maintain social distancing of 3 feet at all times. Actors should not attend auditions, rehearsals or performances if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. Additional health and safety precautions will be in place until all cast members are fully vaccinated, including cleaning bathrooms before every rehearsal, frequent disinfecting of surfaces and chairs, and maintaining a 6 foot (masked) distance when singing indoors.

DATES/SCHEDULE: Auditions are being held November 9 and 10, with callbacks on November 11. Our first read-through will be Monday, November 22. Rehearsals will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5:30-7:30 starting November 30. There will be no rehearsals during winter break, December 22 through December 30. Our tech week is February 7, 8, 9 and 10 - all tech week rehearsals are mandatory. Performances are February 11 and 12, with a snow date of February 13. Mandatory strike will be February 13 (if no snow date is needed) or February 14 (if snow date needed). There will be 3 Saturday workshops which are required for all actors who are performing with Blue Fire for the first time. The dates/times for those are November 20, January 8 and February 5 from 11AM-12PM.

LOCATION: Auditions are being held at the former Haddam Elementary School, 272 Saybrook Road in Higganum. Actors will enter through the glass doors in the back of the building (past the basketball courts).
